INNOVATIVE REAR SUSPENSION

The innovative Torsional Trailing A-arms (TTA) rear suspension is a compact version of a five-link suspension featuring no bump steer and low scrub. This all translates to a more controlled wheel movement, optimal bump absoprtion and tire-to-ground contact for predictable handling. Compact design means low unsprung weight for quicker suspension reaction to changing terrain. Its 16 inches of travel will provide a smooth ride at hard-charging paces or in technical terrain.
 

CAPABLE AND PRECISE RIDE

The redesigned double A-arm front suspension features 15-in. of travel for a capable and precise ride.

NARROWER WIDTH

The narrower Maverick xc is ideal for trail riding. Its FOX PODIUM X Performance 2.0 HPG Piggyback shocks feature 12 in of travel, positioning the wheels closer to the vehicle for riding through tight-woods conditions.

PRECISION-ENGINEERED HANDLING

The Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) offers three levels of rider-adjustable steering assistance that can be adapted to match the terrain while also reducing kickback to the steering.The amount of assistance varies with the vehicle's speed to adjust the steering input effort to a comfortable level.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE SHOCKS

Pure sport side-by-sides demand high-performance shocks. That's why the Maverick is equipped with Exclusive FOX∞2.5 PODIUM∞ RC2 shocks. Front and rear shocks feature adjustments for Dual Speed Compression (DSC), rebound and dual rate spring with infinite preload allowing to fine tune the system for any driving style, terrain or course conditions. The large-diameter bore allows for greater damping force capability, while allowing the shock to run at lower overall temperatures, offer less fade and more consistent damping. The rear shocks feature a position-sensitive Bottom-Out Control and a spring crossover that will allow for less compression damping at ride-height to improve comfort and traction while giving huge damping at the end of the stroke to flatten out the biggest of bumps. The 7/8-inch shaft gives the rear shocks a lot of additional strength & buckling resistance to handle the most demanding conditions.

PERFORMANCE WHEELS AND TIRES

The performance beadlock wheels use a mechanical fastening system that makes it nearly impossible for the tire bead to break loose from the wheel during heavy acceleration or cornering. Proven 28-in., 6-ply Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires feature sturdy lugs and a non-directional tread pattern for a smooth and confident ride over a variety of surfaces.

 

CENTRALIZED WEIGHT

Competitive side-by-sides feature engine layouts toward the rear of the vehicle, which increases inertia and a tendency to oversteer. The Maverick engine, centered between the two seats, centralizes weight for more agile steering and easier cornering. The result is a nimble Maverick that is manoeuvrable, predictable and quick to react to direction changes.

BETTER CONTROL

Exclusive to Can-Am, Visco-Lok is a progressively and automatically locking front differential system. The system intelligently transfers power from a slipping front wheel to the opposing wheel with traction. No buttons to push or levers to pull. Get progressive lock-up with no rev or speed limiter.

STANDARD ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM

D.E.S.S. is the industry’s first standard anti-theft device. Electronic code in key must match code in ECU to start. The Maverick 1000R family comes with two different keys. One limits top speed to 44 mph, while the other has no limitations.

COCKPIT COMFORT

It features premium race-inspired bucket seat with full backrest, lumbar and soulder support and side bolsters to keep a snug fit for driver and passenger during aggressive riding.
